I sat down here yesterday because it’s something I’m used to doing, but I was completely bored. I didn’t really want to work because it was a Sunday and even though I don’t have to, I thought I should take a day off. I could not think of a thing to do.

So I went searching around for some boredom busters. Something I can do on the computer that isn’t working and isn’t blog related, since I do those so much. I found a site that has a lot of computer games. Some of them are pretty cool, too. I like simple games that kill time and stretch my mind, so I opted to check out the Bud Redhead game, since it said it was like Mario Bros. I have a Windows PC (because I don’t like the mac mouse) but they have mac games as well.

My absolutely favorite, though, are RPG games. You all know how much I love Final Fantasy, but they’ve gotten too complex lately. Or, maybe not even complex, but they’re straying from the original RPG style and I don’t like it. So I think I may check out their RPG game, it definitely looks interesting.

The internet has opened up a new world for merchants enabling them to sell online to anyone. It has given more people the opportunity to open their own companies and sell products or services online, like it has for me. And to sell online, you need shopping cart software.

Ashop Commerce is a website that offers hosted shopping carts for your business. Taking credit cards is necessary for business today, so few people still carry cash and there’s so much liability involved in checks. They integrate with Paypal as well.

They list being affordable as one of their good reasons to choose their company. The lowest package start at $39.95, which gives you 50 products, 50mb space, and 1gb of bandwidth monthly. For a completely hosted an maintained script this price is fairly decent, however I’m not sure the bandwidth is sufficient. The next package up is almost double at $69.95, which is basically necessary because it offers adequate space and bandwidth, and more features.

This ecommerce software would be best suited for a company that does most of its sales offline and wants to expand their business to include an online shopping cart to generate more income.
