Snap Shots
A really cool service I’ve found that I use on my site is Snap Shots. Basically what it does is change your links so they show a thumnail preview of the site you’re linking to. It’s extremely helpful for people with attractive sites because they can see what the site looks like just by rolling over, and if your site looks good enough curiousity will take over.
I use the option to have the preview on the icon only for a few reasons. The most important reason for me is that I have noticed on other sites that it’s difficult to click on a link with the preview on it. Not impossible, but it is difficult. Another reason is because I personally prefer the choice of being able to click on the link without the popup preview in my face.
But this is just one of many options you have. You can change the color of the preview popup to match your site better. They have 8 very eye pleasing colors to choose from. You can add your own logo to the preview. You can choose how large you want the preview to be. You can even choose the language.
If you’re using Wordpress, like I am, there’s a plugin that will automatically put it in any Wordpress them with the footer code. However, you don’t need Wordpress to use it. They have a simple script code to put above your </body> tag. If by chance that doesn’t work, you may need to put it directly below your <body> tag, like I did. Not sure why, must be something to do with my theme.
There is another thing that pops up a image do you know about that one?
