It’s surprising how much the support of family can help you make it through the toughest time. It can also keep you going through times that aren’t so bad. For me, family has always been underrated. Maybe even taken for granted. Until recently when I lost the connection with both my brother and my mother, I didn’t really feel like I needed anyone. A fight with my brother showed me that I indeed did, but there’s no one left. My father died when I was 14, my mom hasn’t called me since she told me she hocked my iPhone and was living out of her car, and now my brother has told me how he really feels about me, about how  my family is nothing more than a burden to his family. All I can say at this point is Thank God for my boys, my husband, and my close friends.

This morning I was sitting at my computer working and noticed a message on my notebook that my husband had left. Last night I was trying to tack on some calories to burn to make up for some excessive eating and I ended up vacuuming the entire house. Well, he noticed and wrote me that little note you see up there. Surprisingly, it made my morning. I wonder how much different my day had been if it weren’t for his note.

So this is just a quick note to remind everyone to not only take notice, but let someone know how much you appreciate something they did. Who knows, it might just make them smile.
