An important part of your online presence is choosing a webhost. If you haven’t already been around the block, you’re probably posting on forums and asking friends who they’ve gone with. Doing this is probably going to get you a large list of cheap hosting companies that may or may not be quality. Can you go by what 1 person says to pick a company? Probably not. And it’s probably not likely that everyone is going to suggest the same company. What you need is a reliable resource with reviews and ratings of the web hosting companies so you can decide which will fit you best.

One such choice for this it Web Hosting Choice, a directory of hosting companies rated by the site’s developers based on the information found on those websites. Basically, it condenses everything you should be looking for when you visit a host’s website and sets it up there for you, along with their own rating scale. But keep in mind that just because this site is here and they have a review, that does not mean that this site is not owned by one of the hosting companies (say the one ranked #1) or isn’t being paid by those hosting companies to be ranked so high. Do you research, but definitely put this site on your list of places to look.

I’ve just submit my own hosting company to this list in hopes of being accepted.
