Wordpress Upgrade to 2.2.1

Those wonderful developers over at Wordpress have given us a new release, 2.2.1. It’s a huge bug fix so it’s super important that you update it. Here’s what you can expect.

  • Atom feed validation fixes
  • XML-RPC fixes
  • Widget backward compatibility fixes
  • Widget layout fixes for IE7
  • Page and text widget improvements

This update also includes some security fixes, but they always seem to.

  • Remote shell injection in PHPMailer (really bad)
  • Remote MySQL injection in XML-RPC
  • Unescaped attribute in default theme (not sure what this is about..)

So upgrade ASAP, if you haven’t already. Fantastico should release an update for this within the next week.
